With 25 delegates and staff attending, discussions covered Asian mold industry trends, Secretariat financial reports (based in Singapore), and crisis response strategies amid the global financial crisis. Representatives from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, India, and the Philippines shared national industry updates, while South Korea highlighted its resilient export-oriented sector (1:10 import-export ratio). Mr. Albert Cheng of Malaysia emphasized regional cooperation. China’s Li Zhigang received acclaim for detailing China’s mould industry development. The event concluded with a welcoming banquet at Lotte Hotel, fostering collaborative dialogue.
